The Starlight Ball at Lowry Park Zoo

The hubby and I had a wonderful time last night at the Starlight Ball at Lowry Park Zoo hosted by the University Community Hospital.  I touched a giraffe!!!  This was a fund raiser for UCH's Center For Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine.  We actually know someone who has benefited from this treatment, so it was nice to participate in the event.

The best part of the evening was meeting Jorge and Jessica.  What a wonderful couple!  (Jorge and my husband work together at UCH.)  And I got to meet the woman behind the blog (http://www.thenovicechefblog.com/).  It was so nice to speak with her and pick her brain.  She is very sweet and both she and Jorge have a wonderful sense of humor.  Her blog inspired me to start mine.  I hope we will see them again as we really enjoyed their company.  Thanks Jorge and Jessica!!  P.S.  We went in the best haunted house ever at Lowry Park.....NOT!!
